Faculty Members Honored at BAGEP Awards Ceremony<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ceremony to honor this year\u2019s recipients of the Distinguished Young Scientist (BAGEP) award was held on April 8 at the Bilkent Concert Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight Bilkent faculty members were among the individuals receiving awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, 39 scientists were named BAGEP award recipients. The Bilkent awardees are: Asst. Prof. Ay\u015fenur Dal (Department of Communication and Design), Asst. Prof. Hamdi Dibeklio\u011flu (Department of Computer Engineering), Asst. Prof. Bur\u00e7in K\u0131sac\u0131ko\u011flu (Department of Economics), Asst. Prof. Aykut Ko\u00e7 (Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and UMRAM), Asst. Prof. Se\u00e7kin K\u00f6stem (Department of International Relations), Asst. Prof. Onur \u00d6zcan (Department of Mechanical Engineering), Asst. Prof. Deniz Y\u0131lmaz (Department of Mathematics) and UNAM Asst. Prof. Hasan Y\u0131lmaz (UNAM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bilkent alumni Asst. Prof. G\u00f6kalp Alpan (MATH \u201910; MS \u201912; PhD \u201917) and Asst. Prof. Talha Erdem (EE \u201909; MS \u201911; PhD \u201916) are also among the 2023 award recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
