The minor degree program is made up of&nbsp;three must courses: 20th Century World Politics, Foreign Policy Analysis and International Relations Theory. Students also take three elective courses of their own choosing. The Department offers a wide variety of courses, all of which are open to minor degree students (subject to availability).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on their major degree program, students are advised to take introductory courses&nbsp;or they are encouraged to experiment with more specialized courses (including International Political Economy, Security Studies and Conflict research or Russian Studies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisite Courses:<\/strong>&nbsp;IR 101 is prerequisite for admission into the minor program<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Open to:&nbsp;<\/strong>Students from all Departments<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stars.bilkent.edu.tr\/homepage\/curriculum.php?DEPT=IR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New IR Minor Curriculum (Fall 2013 onwards)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The minor degree program in International Relations offers Bilkent University students with an interest in world politics a solid basis for understanding world politics in a globalizing world as well as Turkey\u2019s international relations.
