IR Talk focuses on Building Resilient and Sustainable Cities in Turkey

On November 21, Stephen Karam, who works as a program leader of sustainable development in World Bank, delivered a guest lecture at our Department. Mr. Karam’s lecture elaborated on problems and the evolution of cities in terms of sustainability in comparison to the past and sougt to link Turkey’s rapid urbanization and productivity with developments in Turkey. Moreover, the talk linked the present with the future, as Stephen Karam elaborated on the current Sustainability Level of cities of Turkey. Finally, managing urbanization and the Sustainable cities project concept in terms of Turkey were discussed by Stephen Karam. The talk was very well attended and attracted faculty members and students from IR and beyond.
